About us
A UK AI consultancy, built for the scale of real small businesses.
SOLO TECH LTD is a founder-led AI consultancy incorporated in England & Wales on 11 March 2025. We help individuals, freelancers, and small business teams adopt AI in a way that is practical, documented, and operable after we leave.
Our mission
Enterprise-grade AI adoption has become the default for large organisations. For individuals and small businesses the same shift is much harder — vendor pitches are written for CIOs, deployments assume an in-house platform team, and most published playbooks require staffing that micro-businesses simply do not have.
SOLO TECH LTD exists to close that gap. We translate the same practical AI techniques — retrieval, structured prompting, automation, agent orchestration — into scoped engagements that a small team can actually run, maintain, and own.
How we operate
Short, outcome-oriented engagements. We scope every pilot around a single measurable business metric — response time, cost per operation, throughput, or conversion — and hand over documentation, credentials, and a plain-English runbook at the end. No managed-service lock-in, no tooling that only the consultant can operate.
Founder
Zheng Zhong — Founder & Director.
Zheng Zhong is the founder and sole director of SOLO TECH LTD. He leads client engagements on AI deployment, workflow automation, and multi-agent product work, and is the creator of the AI LangRenSha arena. Based in the United Kingdom.
Education
- National University of Singapore (NUS) — Postgraduate study.
- Wuhan University — Bachelor's degree.
Previous experience
Before founding SOLO TECH LTD, Zheng spent over a decade in enterprise technology and operations roles at multinational companies across Greater China and Southeast Asia, including:
- Hewlett-Packard (HP) China — enterprise technology.
- General Motors (United States / international) — technology and operations.
- PTC — Parametric Technology Corporation (United States / international) — industrial software.
- Singapore Airlines — commercial operations.
This background shapes how SOLO TECH LTD works: scoped engagements, measurable deliverables, documented handover, and a preference for practical AI that small teams can actually operate — not platform rebuilds.

Operating posture & continuity
SOLO TECH LTD is deliberately founder-led: a single named director is directly accountable for scope, delivery, and follow-up on every engagement. We see this as a feature, not a risk to be hidden — clients always know who they are dealing with, and there is no internal hand-off that can drop a brief between teams.
To make sure that posture does not become a single point of failure for the work we do, every engagement runs against a small set of standing commitments:
- Written scope of work before billable work begins. Deliverables, price, engagement model, and exit terms are agreed up front under our refund & cancellation policy.
- Client-owned infrastructure by default. AI accounts, vendor subscriptions, integrations, and data live under your name and your billing — never ours — so the workflow can survive any change in supplier.
- Documented handover at the end of every engagement. A plain-English runbook, the configuration in version control, and the credentials list are handed back so that a competent successor can operate the system without us.
- UK statutory record-keeping. Engagement and invoice records are retained for six years in line with UK tax and company law (also reflected in our privacy policy), so that a clean audit trail is always available on request.
- Data return or deletion on request. Personal data and engagement artefacts can be returned to you in a portable format, or deleted, at any point during or after an engagement.
We will add named advisors and, where appropriate, additional principals to this page as the team grows. Until then, this card is the honest answer to "what happens to my work if your sole director is unavailable?" — the documented commitments above are the answer, not a promise of someone else picking up the phone.
Why a UK-registered entity
Clients and partners increasingly require a verifiable counterparty — a registered company with a public record, a jurisdiction, and a reachable address. Incorporating in England & Wales gives SOLO TECH LTD a transparent legal footing for client contracts, payment processing, and cross-border service agreements.
